Can max nodes have incoming and outgoing connections?

26 Aug 2009I'm trying to have a ctrl drive a custom attr on a dummy object, and then have that attr drive a reaction to a bone. Each of them works fine in their own right but when I combine the two, the connections going in or out of the dummy's attrs are overwriting the other. In Maya you can simply have a node pointing to two different things but I can't figure out how to do this in Max, connecting it to something else just delete the first connection?
Any thoughts? -

26 Aug 2009Yes. I also tried dropkicking it, but little to nothing changed in Max.

26 Aug 2009You can wire as many things in a row as you'd like....so I'm not sure I totally understand your problem.
Could you walk through the steps of creating what you're doing, so I can try to reproduce the problem? Either that or post a maxfile

26 Aug 2009I am in new york right now, until the 2nd, then SF after that, and I'll book my ticket to LA for October so that we can see each others before you go in my country.
as far as your max problem, i have no idea... are you sure the computer is plugged in?
