Hiya,
It's been ages since I've used 3DS and I'm trying to figure out a way to animate a rubix cube without having to break it into three or four clips.
The problem I'm having is that I can rig up the dummies to rotate the top row of cubes, but when I try to rotate the left row of cubes it becomes problematic. If I group the top row and animate the rotation, then I can't select the left row for the next animation without including the whole top row too. If I break the top row apart for the 2nd animation it deletes the first animation etc etc.
I've uploaded an example (Rubix.wmv) of what I want to do by combing two clips together, but there must be a way to do this in one go because I'm hoping to animate a camera around this thing while it's spinning. I've also uploaded the rubix cube model if anyone wants to have a crack at it.
