HI all
Thanks for your help last time with the lighting, I'm onto my rigs for characters and I'm having extremely annoying issues with one rig that is holding me back.. And seeing as what i am trying to do to me should seem fairly easy I think i'm going to encounter this problem over and over.
Here is a screenshot.
OCTOPUS Rig as u see. The arms are rigged with spline IK + helpers.
My Issue is I want a HElPER object (like the round onein blue that moves his whole character) ...I want this kind of object helper, in a circle at the base of the neck to rotate one of the neck bones. I have tried to align it and make sure its centred to the pivot of the bone. But when I wire parameters to link that to it, It rotates the neck around parallel to the ground. And the rotation angles are wacked...or dyslexic.
I have also tried the plain old method of linking the bone to the helper etc.and trying to make sure the hierachy stays intact.. but... it doesnt..I'm at a total loss with what to do.
I'm trying to make my final film for my college, and unfortunately they dont have version 7 there and I cant get any help in the lab. But i'm talking to my lecturer about trying to see if this can change.
Any input and help you can offer would be enourmously helpful to me, I've been put behind 4 weeks trying to work this one out
