Hey guys quick question, probly very easy to answer. In 3dsmax to default line render motion blur I just choose object properties and select motion blur image ect, but this doesnt work when I use Vray. I need to ad blur to work as well as the Vray reflections ect so can anyone tell me how to get Motion Blur working with Vray as the renderer? Thanks heaps.

I believe that v-ray has its own built in motion blur, and operates seperatly from max's scanline.
If you want to do it a seperate way, where you have more control, you can process your motion blur in a compositing software. i.e. after effects. If you render out your images as an name.rpf you can render out a velocity channel, as well as anything else you'd ever need (thanks for the tip tyson) and then in after effects out can use this velocity channel for your motion blur. And now you can control the amout and stuff of your blur, and it is superfast! (unlike mental ray's) or possibly v-ray.
Just some super usefull tips i've been getting recently, render in passes and composite in AE, it is the bomb!

Cool , thank Aaron. But is there anyway to do it inside 3dsmax?

Try looking in V-Ray properties from the right click menu.

No worries I FOUND IT!!! Ithink, Ill test render it now. Incase any one else even wanted to know like I did before. Press F10 choose vray as your renderer, then go into the renderer tab and go down to Vray: Camera and you can play with the Motion Blur settings there. Sweet. Cheers though guys. I appreciate the help.
