Edit: Pardon the caption in the picture, I meant seams, not "seems"
Howdy,
So how do I get the seam to be in a better place? Is it because I tried cylindrical mapping?
I split the shell in two pieces (top and underneath via detach), then I plan on reattaching after UVW mapping/texturing.
The body of course isn't done yet, so I'm just trying to texture the shell since it isn't I suppose nothing much more needs to be done to it.
So how do I get the seam (the green lines) to go around the corners of the shell, or am I missing something?

I'm new to texturing overall, and even newer to Max's workflow for texturing.
I used the relax tool (great tool BTW) that comes with Max to relax the UVW points some to make it easier to see, as you can tell from the pic.
