my lecturer has told me the only way to get my character the right size in a scene is to scale the environment around him because by putting all the bones into the character assembly and creating character etc resizing it using the character icon and scaling will screw up all the bones/skin pose mode etc.
SO i'm wondering..i've made two characters that should go into the scene together, one is a rodent and one a human but the rodent is bigger then the human if its not scaled because i modelled it bigger obviously not thinking that scaling would be an issue.
if its global and universal scaling then you really dont need to scale your character to give a sense of proportion if u want him tolook small make the surrounding environment bigger than him.there really is no need to actually scale it.

link the root of the character to a dummy and scale the dummy
