Hi guys, great community!
I'd really appreciate advice on something.
Problem 1:
I recently did a tutorial in the populer Deconstructing the Elements book by Pete Draper using my own scene, and I have come across a problem.
The video I shot of my friend holding my paintball gun seems to be quite bad in quality(what a shame).
I'd like to know if anyone has any ideas of matching the color of the flame more with the background? Maybe even the quality.
I don't know after effects yet, so that isn't an option, Im looking for somthing within max I guess.
A simple render to show what I mean(without post effects):
Basically, how do I dull up the flames colors to match the dull background?
Problem 2:
Does anybody know how to adjust the amount of processing speed max is allowed to use? This could be quite handy since I want to do other things while rendering.
Anyways, thanks allot guys!

Hey man,
1) Well you can use render effects to do this. In my short film, the Beast Within (on my website, near the bottom of the gallery) I used them for EVERY shot to match the compositing.....terrible way to do it, but I didn't have AE back then so I had to....
You'll probably want to use ones like brightness/contrast, and noise to match the footage
2) I don't think you can set that within max, but if you open the Windows task manager, you can rightclick on 3dsmax.exe and set the CPU priority, as well as which CPUs max is allowed to use (if you comp has more than 1 CPU)
