From what I can gather when I looked at 'Youtube' and watched demo reels from character animators who were trained in 3DS MAx's character studio to use that as a means of animating CG Characters.
I noticed a lot of great 'Biped Character' animations but very few actually used the Physique Modifier to apply a mesh to their Character Bipeds. Which indicates from what I could see that they knew nothing of modelling a mesh?
being able to model and apply bones, rig, skin and animate my own character I want to know is there a way to use the fantastic Character studio tools on my boned and skinned character?
You have to use the Biped to use any of the character studio tools. Is that what you are asking?
You can skin your mesh over the biped if you like character studio. You can also attach more bones on top of the biped if you need extra deformation etc.
