Reactor + Ragdoll = Unstable simulation

mr_pablo 1 posts10 Dec 2007I have a floor, ragdoll and fast moving ball (collides with the ragdoll) inside reactor.
ignoring the ball, when i preview the world, even with my ragdoll properly weighted (90kg) it just flies up in the air off into infinity. Upping the substeps makes it worse (even though the help file suggested it should make it better) and lower them dumbs down the effect.
I am also getting problems like the feet sticking in the floor even though they are easily fair enough away from the floor.
Can anyone shed some light into setting up reactor properly?
p.s. tried Havok3 - ragdoll simply fell apart at the joints. -
18 Dec 2007welcome to the fourm by the way...........Are you using a biped or one of your own models, also did you use the script that comes with max or did you rig yourself. about the weights I did not put all my body parts to one weight. your head is heavier then your hand. I hope anyhow
. yeah I had a great deal of problems till I ran that script on my bipeds.
I myself have been playing around with rag doll alot.
