So I did an animation of a teapot exploding (Followed Tyson's tutorial) and added sound. There's an annoying thing though, every time I render it and go to watch it i can hear the beginning of the sound effect again just before the movie ends. I have no idea why. I tried looking for some setting somewhere where I tell the sound not to loop, but I can't seem to find anything like that.

But... I don't have premiere. Also, the actual sound clip doesn't have the thing at the end, only when i've rendered the movie and go to watch it. It's very strange.

Afraid I don't have an answer to this but I also had this problem - though only when I did a render preview. I never render out to avi (so not sure if the problem would be repeated there)
The only thing I can suggest is having a look on the net for some freeware video editing packages - I believe there are some free progs that that will cope with rendered stills.

I've noticed max does this, the only way I found round it was to make sure the sound file is the same length as the video(re-recording the entire track but with silences before and after the explosion, or adding sound post render which is the way it's done.
Max used to have a nifty plugin that gave you great control over sound but it was around v2.5 or v3 so I wouldn't think its alive today.
Loads of apps out there that are dedicated to this kind of stuff though

its free but i havent really used it that much
http://www.goldwave.com/mqrelease.php
as an alternative you could just download goldwave from the same site and increase the size of the sound file.

Yeah it would probably be best to just add the sound post render. I actually never thought of that. Anyways, I've downloaded that program and I'm gonna try it out later when I have time. Thanks for the help.
