I just 'discovered' the greeble plugin for max9 and it's blowing my mind. this makes me wonder, ' what other awesome plugins are out there?'
i waded through the swamp of plugins over at maxplugins.de but was totally overwhelmed. so, what plugins do yous guys use/recommend 'round here?

Once I got into scripting I started writing my own "features"....but the plugins I mainly use are:
-Vray Renderer
-SimCloth (cloth sim)
-Texporter (exports UV grids)
-Pflow Tools Box 1 (extra PFlow events and operators)

I'm interested in learning scripting, but dont really understand what kind of helpfulness it has. Do you use scripting in making rigs, or automating repetitive tasks, or ... ?
also, is the match moving in max better, or in boujou?
thx
**prolly should of posted that in the maxscript forum

You can use scripting to access and automate all features within max, as well as create your own.
For example, one way I've used it in the past was to create a stretchy-bones IK rig. Using a script I wrote you can convert any IK chain into a stretchy-rig. I've used this many times in nearly all of my projects in the past....and it's not something I could have setup without the script.
So I'd definitely recommend learning maxscript. It comes in handy ALL the time.
