Hey there fellas.
I am learning now some tricks with Afterburn combustion (no Afterburn with particles, but just combustion with volume fog), and so far I think I have very interesting results. It's working the same way like volume fire that is integrated within 3DS Max, but it has much more options, and more importantly, you can instance any 3D procedural map for a density, which is great!
Here is my first test:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-zXGSRPkugY(if somebody want, I can give you a scene (it's created in max 7, with afterburn 3.1))
I think I will play all night with it.

Now, the problem is that I can use this only on atmospheric gizmo (box, cylinder or sphere), but I want to know is there any possible way (plugin, script, just anything) that I can use volume of some instanced object. That could lead to some great possibilities (burning letters, towers, characters... etc).
I am buying beer as much as you can drink for any solution.
