Hi, I was wondering if anyone has this problem.
When I apply the flex modifier to complex geometry (human char) I can only paint weights of a positive value, the negative value doesn't have any effect.
If I delete the high poly parts of the mesh eg. the head and hands it works properly.
I've tried it with all sorts of complex geometry and still have this problem.
Any Ideas?
I'm using 3ds max 9 sp2.

Hmm...can't say I've had that problem. Have you tried just throwing an edit_mesh modifier below your flex, using the edit_mesh to select your main verts, then using soft selection to create some falloff....and using that for your flex modifier? That's what I've always done...never even knew you could paint your flex weights.

Yeah I would normaly use an edit mesh below flex but I only just noticed the weight roll-out in the flex modifier, if it worked properly it would give a lot more control, maybe it does....maybe it's just my crappy geometry.
