Hi guys, finally (maybe) I have finished my last scene. However this time I want to try to apply to the scene a sort of "movie" look (or similar).
This is my original scene
and this is my try
Any advices ? How can I improve the "realism" of the scene using photoshop? The retouch is it better than the original render? I use a sort of z-depth, noise, color correction and I work with the curves. For example I love the atmosphere, the lights, the colors, the movie look of Matrioshka of Tyson. Do you thing that with photoshop I can obtain similar result with my render or I can't create something similar from this point? For example this two scene
Thanks a lot to everyone can help me! (if you want to try on my render you are welcome!)

Hi Daniel,
Well there's a few things to note:
First of all, in your scene, there isn't a lot of contrast. The brightest area in your scene is a medium-gray color. Not that you want your scene to be too bright or anything, but what would help is getting some specular/reflection on the metal bits that will normalize the levels of your scene
Secondly, add a bit of glow to those bright bits. Not too much, but a teeny bit will really make them stand out nicely. Flare out those ceiling lights too.
Finally, add a vignette (since it's so dark) to focus the scene.
Here's what I managed to do with it in a few minutes, although some of the tweaks mentioned above will require a re-render of the 3d scene to implement:

Hi Tyson, thanks !!! Your tweak is the awesome! It's my target! I'll try to render adding to metals some more reflections as you advice me! And then I'll try to work with photoshop as you done! I'll post my new render!

Really thanks again for the useful tips! (and to gave me an example on my scene). Do you like the scene?
Bye!

Hi d4rk3lf

(correct me Tyson if I wrong) In photografy the vignetting effect is something similar to this
The vignette is the black (or dark in general) border around the image (similar to my test).!

Re-done! Better? I added some smoke (in photoshop -> render -> clouds)

Looks much improved, although I'm not sure about the purple-ish coloring in the back...

Nice one, dark!
Although I think the increased DOF to the right makes everything look tiny.
