Hi,
I'm progressing well with my attempts to learn 3DS and 3D modelling in general but I've a 'gripe'.
I'm trying to model an aircraft fuselage from a box, each line of vertices being a 'cross-section' of the fuselage. I've modelled the side of the cross-sections by moving and scaling vertices and now trying to do the same for the front.
The problem being that from the front view, if I drag/select a group of vertices I'm also selecting vertices from other cross-sections and modifing them too.
Is there anyway of hiding vertices of an object so only the cross-section I'm working with is available? I'm using Max 5.1 btw, sorry about the simple nature of this question

Everyone elses problems seem to be rather technical compared to mine
