Max 8 Hair / Fur collusion problem

10 Apr 2006i've got used the hair in max 8 but i have serious problems with the colliding
ive added all objects on the collusion menu but the hair is still going through the mesh i can see the added objects in the style hair window but i almost doesnt effect anything (i tryed the option Use growth object but it doestn change anything)
has someone any ideas??? -

20 Apr 2006If the hair is already inside the objects, then it wont have any effect on the collisions. You would need to animate at the start, the eyes or such moving towards the hair so that the hair can collide, and be sent elsewhere. Then save the hairs current situation as the starting position or what not, and lose the eye movement.
I think thats how it works, but I havent used max8 hair + fur. -

Ok. I think this can help.
On the modify panel (having selected head) select style. Here is all thing you need to be a barber.
Select Cut or scale tool. And work on hairs you want. Cut hair, Puff it, scale it and more to get what you want.
Post the result. -

25 May 2006Well I cant help you out there mate, I only had one idea of what it might be and it sounds like it was wrong. No clue about this new hair system, never had the chance to test it.
