hi all!

worked on my tornado for a bit last night, and ran in to a problem i couldn't seem to get around. any advice would be SO appreciated!
so i made a chimney, and i want the chimney to come flying apart brick by brick, really fast. i started by making it an instanced brick particle that is positioned on the surface of a tall, thin box that is the size and shape of my chimney. particles seemed easiest, since they work so well with space warps. the problem is that i can't get them to be placed on the chimney box in a uniform manner, like real bricks. you know, where they lay a level of bricks, then offset the next level?
would it just be easier to make all the bricks individual gemoetries, place them however i like, and set up a reactor simulation to mimic my space warp dynamics?
is there a way to get the scatter tool do place them in that orderly manner? and if so, how would i then animate them?
