16 Jun 2005Does anyone know if you can have Max display the viewport fps redraw rate?
I know this is a default setting for Maya, thought it would be easy enough to find in Max but the magical [F1] button let me down

Hmmm..that's a gooood question. I've never come across anything to do with that in Max...although isn't there a way in your Display (windows display, not 3dsmax display) settings to have DirectX applications display the framerate? That's the only thing I can think of....although it's an interesting question you bring up so I'll do some more looking around in Max

13 Dec 2005YES,
Open the 3dsmax.ini file.
then go to the performance section...
and add this line. ShowFPS=1
You'll see the Frame rate in some small boxes that appear in the bottom part of the interface.
