What stopped me from playing in Maya

08 Jul 2006HEY! I guess it's ok to put it up, it's on their site, so, iI'll link from there:D
This is what I've been working on for the last 3 weeks. i did a small amount of cleanup and paint, and 14 scenes of ruff animation... nothing major, but it's still a blast to be part of
:D And to be part of such a talented batch of artists! They all did a great job.

Wow it really has that traditional CEL look to it... did you find that easy enough to emulate in Flash?
Seems like Flash it the way to go for 2D anim... are there any others you'd recommend? -

I guess I forgot to say that the bg's are Photoshop...
umm... i personally don't think i could work with something like toonboom or another 2d package... i haven't tried them, so i can't bash them, but flash is just so friendly to the drawing aspect of animation... it's more responsive.
what freaks me out is our effects guy... that explosion and fire is all done in flash
which makes no sense at all to me on where he gets his ideas
flash just makes everything simpler. that's my opinion. and i love it.
