the pillow fort was huge. myself and 2 friends did it for a girl we know. for years now, we've been joking around about having a sleepover party and building pillow forts like we all did when we were young. it was her birthday, so we rented a hotel room for 2 nights, and the first night just us guys went and set up the fort, and surprised her with it the next day after a whole bunch of us went to disneyland. we used 2 mattresses, 2 box springs, every blanket in the hotel room, and we all brought pillow and cushions from home. it was amazing!! we had lights in it, a Stitch (from Lilo & Stitch) bubble blower, party streamers... it had 3 different rooms, but when you first opened the door to the hotel room, all you see is blankets hanging and a tunnel entrance. it was perfect!! and we made a little video for her, sort of like an 3 minute biography about her, but we made it funny and put in lots of in-jokes!
and I will share my film as soon as I can. I'm entering it in as many film festivals as I can, and presenting it online may disqualify me from entering some, so i'm holding off of putting it online for now. it turned out really cool, or else i wouldn't be stupid enough to try to get it out there in the world. and i think it's really different from anything else out there today. my website has a trailer for it, but it's not that spectacular of a trailer. it has ZERO effects, and took me about 15 minutes to crank out, but i just wanted something up since i bought the website and all.
how's your work going so far? mine's kinda slow.
