at home i'm never bored, i always have WAY too many projects going on. it's weird, though. i can get exhausted rotoing something at home, and then to relax, I'll goof off in 3d. it's not like i even changed positions or anything, just my mindset.
i get bored at work alot. not at the job i had before here, but here @ R&H. the pipeline is convoluted, slow, and entirely screwed up here, so us compositors end up waiting, waiting, waiting... i have about 5 or 6 websites i check alot. i got Jon Bell's Max 6 killer tips book here to browse. strange. before i got here, i thought "wow, this place is gonna be like a well oiled machine, everything gonna be incredible, things are going to flow smoothly, i'm going to be working with experts..." and its nothing like that. for example - when i worked at the little shop (4 people: 1 roto guy, 1 lady who did all the input/output stuff, and me and another guy really doing all the shots), the last thing i worked on was "Tenacious D:Pick of Destiny". In all seriousness, I did about 70-80 greenscreen shots, at least 5 3d shots, and probably another 20-30 general shots (opticals, fixes, general compositing, etc). probably over 100 shots.
On Garfield 2, i did 12 shots. even less (by half) on the movie i'm on now. and i ONLY did the compositing. So, needless to say, i'm bored here sometimes. i never was at my old job. at lunch at the old job we'd either watch british sitcoms, or have 3d challenges. the challenges were awesome - things like "in one hour, eveyrone has to have a chameleon shader animation", or "guacamole", or "piston & gears animation". we always only had one hour. so much fun. they weren't perfect renders, but man did we learn alot fast.
so yeah, there ya go. never bored at home, often bored at work. on the weekends i bring my laptop in sometimes.

I get the same, i always get bored at work, so bored in fact, i installed Maya PLE on my work computer - the world of Civil Engineering is awsomly dull, i dont recommend it to anyone!

@Hype. Interesting to hear about the wrokflow issues you have at R&H. So we're not the only ones with problems...

Oh... I didn't answer the question
I tend not to get bored... I just get frustrated that I have no real time to do stuff that I'd like to do. But then, when I finally do get a bit of time, I can't think of anything to do... and so I get bored!
