Conroe is the Core 2 Duos.

One thing you have to watch out for with motherboards is that not every motherboard that supports dual core cpus can support the C2D.
The first one you posted doesn't say if it does which leads me to believe that it doesn't. There were dual core Pentium D processors that fit the same socket as the Core 2 Duos so when you're buying a board you really have to ensure that it can actually support the new processors.
Also that first board is still using an AGP slot so you're getting a slot that will be a huge bottleneck to a system. As well as the chipset supporting DDR and DDR2 which means it's not going to take full advantage of the DDR2 specification.
Also when you add the words Asus and Deluxe together you get a highly priced motherboard. You can get other versions of the motherboard for less.
