well look around your website panel for your ftp address . this info should also be in an email that they send you when you sign up. in dreamhost the ftp urls look something like this
ftp://usernamehere@domain.com/ which is more or less the standard for ftps. after you have your address just download a ftp program (there are plenty of free ones) i recommend using smart ftp , configure the fttp program (they usually have wizzards for setting up new connections) and then just drag and drop your files to upload

.
edit: sasktech has a faq page with a guide to setting up your ftp client

Oh so its just a standard web host?
simple, in internet explorer or firefox or whatever go to
ftp://yoursite.com and enter your username + pass in there.. simple as drinking vodka.

Sorry Richard, to drink vodka all you need to do is buy some vodka, measure out exactly a glass full, no less, no more, grab a curly straw, apply some heat and some lemon and suck till your heart cant suck no more.... curly straw optional but adds to hype.

Hey Rich,
When I had to switch my site....all I did was FTP onto the sasktech server (ie...the same way you'd normally FTP onto your site), then download all of the files to my local drive...then upload that temp folder to Dreamhost.
It was a piece of cake

richy dreamhost has an option in their panel that lets you transfer your site to your new domain. to learn more about it you should check out the dreamhost site.

dreamhost is great, cheap, user friendly, quick and you get lots for your money.
They only have one issue, they are a global company, with thousands of clients, and yet they have no direct support phone line, and the support tickets can take up to two days or longer to get things done.
