How's 2007 treating you?

08 Jan 2007well i think 2007 is definatly not my year... i mean, here is what happenend so far:
-late with uny work
-mp3 player broke
-pc broke
-room light broke (live in the dark now, only with my screen light...
)
-mobile phone screwed up (i am now the first person with dual screen mobilephone (cause it splited in half for some reason... maybe cause of the coldness... i can still use it now... it's just that 80% of my screen is not working...)
i have spent all my savings for a new cam that i was going to buy.. but i had to spend it on a new mp3 player and pc
i'll post pics soon of all that -
08 Jan 2007holy cow, dude! maybe Father Time is just trying to get all your bad luck for the year out of the way early, so you can ride high for the rest of it! I sure hope so!
I'm doing great. just went back to work, got a raise, doesn't look like i'll have any time off this year (which could sometimes be bad - i LOVE time off!).
In dec I had my short D&D movie included in the DVD animated series set of the D&D cartoon and released nationwide, so that was a super cool way to end the year!
starting to think about a couple short movies i want to make this year, but still need to finish a couple straggling projects from last year first.
so, i guess my year's going great so far! I'm planning on buying my own lighting kit with my first couple paychecks now that i'm working again. I like owning my equipment rather than renting. -
08 Jan 2007So far, my 2007 has been better than your experiences Richard.
Apart from being sick, I've been fairly relaxed just doing my own thing, be it drinking, partying, 3d-ing, photo taking, poker, music, tv, videos, drinking or partying.
It's been fantastic having moments where I can just tune out, it's been years since I've been able to do that and im loving it! -

quinn paynter 356 posts08 Jan 2007Well my years going ok soo far. Just got back from a nice holiday. Me and the GF drove from the top of New Zealand to nearly the bottom. Big Trip. Its been good. Just hoping to get some more CG work this year, hopefully score a studio job somewhere doing CG or 2d... Anything.
PS: Tyson, I took some photos of Wellington while I was there for ya. Just a few but give you a somewhat feel for the city. -
09 Jan 2007Quinn...Awesome mate! I'd love to see those! I've seen a few pictures of the place online, but mainly those were tourist shots. Your photos will give me a better idea of what it's like there on any given day I'm sure....not just the sunny days that have the most girls on beaches outside.
