Hi everyone

!
This is my first post, and I thought I'd introduce myself.
I'm a student studying Modelmaking for Design and Media at The Arts Institute at Bournemouth.
I first started learning CGI and CAD some years ago, especially after watching the series "Walking with Dinosaurs" which I though was mind blowing and I had to do that!
I'v only really started seriously learning maya about two years ago, and I'm beginning to be able to get the results I'm looking for. My course prefers 3DMax, so I'm chewing through tutorials for that too. I have quite a bit of experience with Rhino and AutoCad, and I also do alot of illustration and digital painting in Photoshop.
That said I also love phyical modelmaking and sculpting, and I'm beggining to experiment with combining the two.
Aside from my coursework which is demanding enough, I'm leading a modelmaking and effects team for a short film, and It's really looking great so far. It should be a great oppertunity to put into practice what I've learned.
I'm looking forward to spending time here, this looks like a really proffessional forum. I found you guys when I googled fluid effects tuts, and found the cloud tutorial of great use, as the inbuilt Maya tut is OK but lacking in detail.
See you around

!
