I gotta say man...I REALLY enjoyed your review! If you're serious about "the VHS show", I could really see it taking off if you keep it up. There are a lot of people out there (including myself) who love the niche market of rare VHS-only films.
Everything was spot on (I thought you tied it nicely together at the end with your "please rewind" finisher...nice touch
)....the ONLY thing that I could imagine working on, would be length. For me, this episode was a fine length...but I could see other people falling victim to a 4-minute-ish attention span, instead of the current 6-minute+ that this review was.
Might be something you want to look into...but otherwise, a great watch! -

no no ... Ninja warriors is something you earn, though i would like to hear his opinion on the show, i don't think he is ready... -

Well I definitely liked this one too Mark....but here's my main problem with it:
You're on screen way too much man! If you're gonna talk, at least just talk as a voiceover to clips of the show. I mean, people (like myself) are watching your show to see the old VHS clips dude! I found myself waiting in parts for you to show some clips (like the virus part) but you never did, you just described it.
Your descriptions are great...but I'd say in your next show to make sure 70-80% of the visuals are actual clips from the VHS tape we're talking about! I'd say in this episode it was about 25-30%

09 Mar 2007I would've posted more clips, but they were pretty long and I wanted to keep the editing tight. Believe me, there was a lot more clips than that. Like a long dialogue on explaining "flaming" on the internet or the definition of cyberspace. Maybe I'll post a best of the internet show sometime.
