How incredibly strange! I've never heard of that before until now.
The only other strange fluid effect I've heard of is the non-neutonian liquid stuff (corn starch and water), where pressure and friction immediately turn it into a solid, yet the release of the friction and pressure cause it to then change back into a liquid.
If you youtube search it you can find plenty of videos demonstrating that effect....
