So outside of CG/animation/compositing/ et al. what do you do?
I like singing, fixing and building computers, teaching, and church-related stuff. I used to do a lot of weight-lifting, but my weight kept going up, up, up, so now I am just dieting, and hopefully, will get back into a regular cardio regimen later, along with going back to the gym on a regular basis.
Here's a few audios clips of my mother and I singing, and few songs of me singing solo. Of course, I'm the male voice, my mom is playing the piano and singing as well. I wish I learned to play the piano when I was younger, because she often offered to teach me but I always said "playing the piano's for girls."
http://www.thattechsite.com/audio/ (the songs are all from church, so they're all live, and of course, all hymns

)

I enjoy almost all aspects of the outdoors. going for walks, laying around outside. hunting, camping, fishing, biking, hiking, going out in a canoe or a boat in general. I love music. play saxaphone (all of em) and guitar. I like boozin and schmoozin with the friends. Takin time out of the day to spend it with my friends and family whenever i can. I like to read but have not done so in a while. I like to learn new things and pass that onto other people.
come to think of it i like just about anything.

cool ! i didn't know we add an other sax player in here!!! i am one myself, i ply the alsto, but i don't mind playing on any other one.
my other number one hobbie is magic. it's been a year now and ohhh boy i love it... i think i might go for two jobs later on in my life...
during the hollidays, i will try and find a job in a restaurant as a resident magician. i will do table hopping and everything... the guys who have acces to my magic section on the forums, i just wanna let you know that i do a lot more than these 3 or 4 cheesy little triks. i now almost have a full 5 minutes routine. as soon as i be finished with it, i'll go around with a friend a film peoples reaction along with my routine, instead of having me just doing paranormal stuff on a cheap webcam :p
as for the music, i play saxophone as said, i also play the didgeridoo , the jaw harp, the mouth bow and i am starting to play around on a guitar to mix it with the didj at the same time... that should keep me bus for the next 50 years... but i know it is possible because i saw one guy doing it.
if your still readding this, i just want to let you know you should be about halfway
i really enjoy taking photographs, i am starting to have my personal collection. i also love clay modeling ,drawing painting etc...
oh yea i really enjoy doing fire spinning . it's been about 8 to 9 month now since i started doing that...
i just finished my first really paid cg job last week, and i .
went for a break on at the beatch with my brother and i started surfing too
the problem with me (although i don't really think it is one) is that as soon as i see somthing that made me feel somwhere else for a moment, i feel like i really want to be able to do it to give the same feeling to other people, and share with them what i felt on that very special day.
with magic it really is magic! by that i mean that not only i see the people feel exactly like i felt in the past, i also get a much much stronger feeling than they are and it really feels awsome. i can't really describe how it is because it is impossible, but it's like if all of a sudden, everything around you is gone, your alone with that guy dribling on your hands with his eyes wide open. it's like if you were in a bubble and nothing gould get through it.
i could keep writing and writng about magic. i seriously feel i found a real hobbie, no, even more than that... i feel just the same as i feel with CG, i just feel somwhere else.
thanks for keeping up with that long read, i hope this replies to your question :p

No problem Richard, I don't mind long posts, because hey, a post worth posting is worth posting well.

Those are some neat hobbies richard! Didgeridoo's are sweet!
I also play sax. I played in a rock band for 5 years, put out 3 cd's, and toured the country 3 times. Sadly though I haven't touched it in about 5 years since the band broke up

.
I enjoy anything outdoors too, hunting, fishing, all that. I can't wait till this summer when my son will finally be old enough to start doing some of that stuff with me! Spending time with my son and fiance (wife in about 3 weeks

!) take up probably 90% of my time outside of work.
I also love video and computer games. World of Warcraft takes up way too much of my time. I got a Wii a few months ago, I play a bunch too. Thats a workout and entertainment all in one.
I used to have a lot more hobbies before I started this little family of mine. Collected Star Wars Legos, Gundams, models, I read a LOT. But I'm not complaining

!

I like campfires, long walks by the beach, sunsets...
just kidding!
some of my hobbies are:
Reading - lots. Mostly thriller/horror kinds of things, Stephen King, etc. But I like almost eveything, including fantasy and sci-fi, strange histories, cool things like Malcolm Gladwell's books and mary Roach's books, tons more.
Music - again, almost anything. From Pantera and Slayer to Lily Allen and Lady Soveriegn, and everything in between. I used to be in a metal band, I play guitar. Occassionally I dabble in making music on my computer.
Filmmaking - my favorite hobby of the last couple years.
Sometimes I go mountain biking, but it's been less and less lately. I love going out for walks around Burbank and seeing movies. I still play guitar, just not nearly as much as I used to. I like writing, but that kinda falls under the filmmaking category, since I mostly write screenplays now. I go out and see bands and local artists alot.
That's it for now. I'll edit if I think of more.

It's where you go on a kind of Surfboard, a lot smaller than a surfboard, and a huge kite, and you go out and hit the sea, the wind takes you every ware, so you can do all sorts of cool things, sometimes if you catch a good wave and a strong wind, the wind can propel you up in the hair to about 100feet or something - check it out! It's good fun!

That looks like a ton of fun! Too bad I'm pretty much in the center of the continent, as far from any oceans as you can get!

I like to do little doodles constantly. It helps pass the time in extremely boring classes.
I enjoy viewing and collecting movies. I have tons them. So much in fact that I'm running out of space to store them between my apartment and my parent's house.
I, of course, film The VHS Show whenever I get a chance.
Video games are always an enjoyable passtime as well.
