today someone offer me to buy my castle!!! a big amount of money
Yes it's true, he added me to his msn and say: your work are beautiful, etc. could you send my your 3d of the castle? I said I don't send it at all and not for free. He offered me 4.5$, 5$, 7$ and 8$ What an idiot!!
I'm bored to have a lot of people adding me to their msn and don't speak English or French and ask me things like: How to make a box in 3d Studio Max? or I want you make something for me for free, etc.!
It's ok newbie people contact me for questions, I'm always willing to answer but some of them always disturb me with questions from no where.
Did you have some stories like this?

Oh yes
Plenty of "can you show me how to animate stuff! I've never used 3dsmax but I want to make a feature film in 3d only!!!11!!11!1!!!"
or
"How did you make [insert one of my animations here]????12#?!?@#???"
(as if it can be explained in a sentence or two lol)
Good times...good times...

I've had that in my class, a lot. This classmate first asks me to draw herself. After four months, I do, and then she asks me to draw her six cousins on one sheet of paper, and her and her sister on another one.
Without paying me.
I'm not sure what drove me to take those bleeding reference photos, but I'm definitely not doing it. Being a classmate doesn't give people that freedom to ask me to draw them - although people still do!
Another time, a classmate asked me to draw her boyfriend, a person I've never seen before.

In the summer I had someone ask me to do something like that. I didn't really mind because i sort of knew him from school. Now hes in my physics class and we have become friends.
I think the funniest thing is when a 14-16 kid that just picked up a copy of 3d program and wants to make a game over the summer with no previous knowledge.

Hahaha...those are good ones weider
As for me, I don't mind responding to the questions I get through email etc, as long as the person is specific. For example, something like "how did you rig the wings in your bird animation" is perfectly ok...because it's actually something I can answer....whereas "how did u make that bird amanation!111??" is the type of question that's nearly impossible to answer.
Luckily, I don't tend to get the latter type of question too often, which makes the times when I do get them a rare treat

I like the ones where its like.
I am 12 and I am starting a profesional MOD. I like your work and want you to model for us. If we get royalties and published and such later, you might get a cut of it.
Im like oooh really? sounds great.
Yeah it is, I've got all these big ideas of turning half life 2 into an egyption game with monsters and chocolates.
But isnt half life 2 not out for another year or something
so?
I mean, isn't it a bit premature making a mod for a game that is no where near completion itself.
I guess
Shouldn't you wait till its released?
actually thats probably not a bad idea.
It's not hey, come back to me in a years time and I might rethink my answer to your question... which is no, I wont do work for you.

cam just to clarify game developers release polycount limitations and other technical notes ay before the game or the sdk are released and in the case of halflife2 the developers actually sat down and answered emails from development teams prior to the games release.

Or my personal favourite:
"I'm making a movie and need tons of special effects! I don't have any money to pay you...but the work you do will look GREAT in your portfolio!1!!11"

Haha, all these stories sound all too familiar. Especially the do you want to give me your model of the **** (fill in car here) and the "do you want to join my mod, it will look great on your portfolio" bits.
That's why I removed my MSN address from my website like 18 months ago. I had like 5 new people on my list every day.
