24 Apr 2007Hooooolllly crap.....we always see (in movies) how a distant nuclear explosion looks like a medium-sized mushroom cloud on the horizon (sort of neat, tidy....not too big from a distant perspective but obviously powerful etc etc)...
Until I saw this video clip
This is footage from the largest and most powerful Nuclear bomb ever tested....(wait until the end where they show the cloud expanding on the horizon, behind the houses....obviously miles away)....IT FILLS THE ENTIRE SKY!!!!

I am so glad the cold war is over. This video gave me shivers down my spine!
According to the video, the FIREBALL is 110 miles wide! -

24 Apr 2007Well I got that link off digg where people were discussing it and they made a good point....some think the size of nuke blasts peaked during the cold war, and the focus was switched to preciseness of the nukes....either way....if a nuclear war were to ever break out, I'm safe over here in New Zealand!!!!
And if not New Zealand, I'll just take a canoe over to Antarctica.... -

25 Apr 2007i'm in florida so i'm pretty sure i'd be going down shortly after london. i've read all those scifi novels about nuclear war! its always london or florida!!!
