yeah, I have to say, I went the other night and saw it with a bunch of people who worked on it, and they all laughed the whole way through. It's cheesey, but yet everyone still went and saw it. I can't believe it made as much as it did. Seems that mr. Raimi has parts 4,5, and 6 on the burner as well too.
I for one thought the whole thing was rediculous, but I didn't pay for my ticket, so i'm not going to complain too hard.

i haven't seen spidey 3 yet, and am not excited to at all. I turned down working on it. I'm pretty over spiderman. i'll see this one once the hoopla dies down, but i'm not too excited. adding more villians is what destroyed the batman movies of the 80's. they're just retreading that path.
pirates, not super excited. transformers, kinda excited, but don't wanna get my hopes up, cuz i'm still not sold on the redesigns.
Ratatouille will be awesome. i have no doubt, can't wait!!

Holy darn....
Just saw it....effects were great....but I couldn't help but laugh at the whole "spiderman turns emo" bit....ruined the whole movie for me since it just made it into a big joke.

I do have to admit though.......sandman was the coolest thing EVER! He was definitely OVER 9000!!!!!
....oh and spawn at the end was also the coolest thing ever.

but on balance - with the outrageously poor plot development, wooden acting, chemistry free love story, and a female lead took a few knocks to the face when she fell out of the ugly tree... i just don't think it's enough to tip the scales!

definitely was good effects wise but the rest of the story was messed up. It felt they tried to put way too much into the movie. Which means it should of been longer in terms of what they wanted but, they had to cut it down in size.
The emo part was hilarious. My friend and I just looked at each other and laughed our asses of when he did that.
Who walks down the street in the middle in New York acting like that?
Venom was pretty freaking amazing.

That movie didnt know what it wanted to be.
why must every character that is bad have that little moment in the end when they turn to good? why not have bad guys that are bad guys. take out sandmans backstory with the daughter and make him a low level thug. done.
bah, it was alright. fun to look at.

not to drag this up again, and honestly, my opinion isn't worth much, but Spidey 3 sucked. Bad. The only part i didn't want to blow my brains out over was that birth-of-Sandman shot. A 3 minute shot. So there were 3 decent minutes in the whole movie. The rest was complete garbage, from the acting to story.
If you haven't seen this yet, don't go. Rewatch the 1st one.

Totally agree with you there Hype, I thought the film was damn awful. I could not believe what I was seeing!
The whole 'news story' bit just totally threw me off, maan I'm so gutted I went to see this film. Oh that bit where he was walking down the street as an emo-goth was horrendous! I couldn't stop laughing!
Bad movie all round!

Appalling... I for one will go out of my way to not watch 4... 5 or 6.... but if he dies in 7 then I may be persuaded
