I still am not a fan of the kid they got in the lead role, but i still wants to see this movie. -

Nah man the original 80's version had a storyline. Wasnt that bad at all if I remember correctly. Youll find alot of fans who still like the old series that will look down on this
The only thing holding it together will most likely be the effects

GAH! I can't take it. I read about fifteen different blogs from people who "know" something about it. Of course everyone involved in the movie is going to give you a biased opinion of it. But when Spielberg said "this movie is going to blow you away" I was sold. I was reading an ILM interview where they asked the artists what the specific challenges were, and they casually replied, animating thousands of parts on each robot. Apparently, Some of the Guns on Ironhide have more moving parts than some of the other transformers. I think that is oozing with irony remembering how his catch phrase was something like a bunch of advanced circuitry can't replace guts. LOL.

This looks like the sort of film that you want to watch frame by frame at the cinema over the course of a week, ignoring all bodily functions for fear of missing a few frames!!!
I am officially starting to get excited about this film
