Have you guys heard of the show "On the Lot"? It's a new FOX show about finding a new director for Dreamworks. They have a few episodes that you can watch online here:

Man.... I just watched the last two episodes and am disappointed with the format of the show. I thought it was going to show a lot about the production of movies... but instead they went with an "American Idol" format, padded the show with TONS of commercials and don't show much about movie making at all. They actually spent an hour dragging out the elimination of 3 contestants. Just do it in 5 minutes and get back to making movies!!! I was really hoping to get more behind the scenes action...

the movies are pretty cool though...

yeah, i agree, they're focusing on the American Idol aspect, not the talent and struggle. I started watching Project Greenlight Season 2 this weekend - awesome! The project greenlight series are exactly what you wish The Lot would be.

I've heard a lot about that show, but never took the time to watch it. Are they still making it? I'll have to check out the first season on dvd!
