The best part is that, it seems sooo over the toply lame that nobody would fall for it, yet someone did. So now the guy who made that considers himself a genius. And I'd have to agree that he probably is. To come up with an idea so ridiculous like that and have someone still buy it from you. Damn.

I think the inventor is a genius... without testing it at the time you buy it you'd never know!
It's a shame that the inter dimensional link to the actual storage media was broken somehow

a friend of mine was working at the Sony store, and a guy was returning a modem still wrapped in its packaging. Thinking nothing of it my friend grabbed it to scan it and noticed it was far too heavy to be a modem. He asked the guy returning it if anything was different about the package and he said no.
So my friend decided to open it up and take a peek inside to make sure it was the thing he was returning. When he opened it up, he found a BRICK. Just a plain ordinary brick. My friend just starting cracking up slid the package to the man, and called for the next person. The man shrugged, laughed and said "I tried". THE END.

haha! Nice try indeed.
I remember when I use to work construction the guys use to tell me how whenever they'd have a tool such as a handsaw that would break, they'd buy a new one and remove the plastic cover, switch out the internal parts into their old cover, and put the broken parts into the new cover, then return it to the store saying it didn't work. Didn't believe it myself until I saw them do it once and get a brand new saw. I was like 17 years old and just in awe of how easily they had slapped the system in the face. Down with the man!

I find the subtle approach works best. Here's what works for me...
Find a store with a nice front window facing an open street. Put on a ski mask - you know, the kind that covers your whole face and has holes for your eyes and mouth. If you have trouble finding this, some pantyhose stretched over your head will work also. So, with your mask on, approach the store from the front. Throw a brick through the nice front window, then, quickly, throw in something that's on fire, like a gasoline can with a rag sticking out of it, or, if you're in a festive mood, a tiki torch. Now, run around the building 1 time. This gives you a chance to remove your mask (effectively removing your disguise - you are now a different person!) and let the fire start spreading. When you get back to the front, simply enter through the front window and take whatever you want. Make sure you exit through the front window as well.
You may also want to let your friends and family know, so they can come get stuff as well. Also, be sure and only take things you can actually carry. That's where this silly lady screwed up.
And be sure whatever you take IS NOT on fire!! This is very important!

So wait, that thing holds 7 gigs in that little tube? Why the plastic casing?
