09 Aug 2007Yes, another year has past, another version on the shelves.
There are a couple of cool new features in both MAX and MAYA, but what are the features you still think are missing?

10 Aug 2007Yeah, that's a bit worrying...
The only thing that caught my eye was the "Nondestuctive Skin Editing". But then when you read it it's about adding and / or moving joints around... Which doesn't sound that new or ground-breaking. Comet has something like that as a plugin. -
16 Aug 2007autodesk comes out with a new max and now MAYA every time an icon need changing.
If you want my 2 cents it's like putting pearls on a pig.
doesn't matter how you change it, still the same pig, max8 max9.........................same program. IMO -
Will J 215 posts17 Aug 2007I thought they were going to merge the two, there have been so many rumours flying around to that effect anyway. Still, I do like how some of my favourite max features have migrated into maya

johndohn 2 posts21 Oct 2007merging maya and max is like merging OSX and windows.... this won´t happen. a complete rewrite of both programs would be needed. but who knows, maybe autodesk is working on a complete new 3d application witch takes the best from both worlds.
