Well, they're doing a great job with the updates to the engine it seems.

Real-time simulated ambient occlusion and the soft-body physics are two of my favorite things about the tech demo.

yeah i saw that vid awesome stuff they do with the engine. i did some mods back in around 1999-2003 and it was very easy to work with the ut engine i think its really one of the best engines ever created.
so and a 3. party producer made a face motion capture technique and its running in ut3 engine

hooray for joystiq ;D i saw this video yesterday as well, and was very impressed considering the long list of features UE3 already has!
