i was thinking the other day since everyone in this community is friendly talented and close to each other (spiritually) WHY NOT MAKE A SMALL MOVIE LIKE 20MIN LONG with everyone in this forum participates in, combining all the animators, modelers, effects dudez, and compositors, i am pretty sure we can come out with something nothing less from stunning and it would be a great learning experience we can also register like a meeting/conference software (50$ maybe) and we all log in and share ideas and view each other desktops and i think it would be just GREAT. my friend tells me to stop having pink dreams

what do you guys think.

in theory this could be fantastic, but we'd have to have someone volunteer to helm the project. if someone wants to lead it and we can all agree to it then I could be interested, hehe.

Nah internet collab projects rarely ever work out. Just check out the number of failure projects in the cgtalk collaborative forum. Even the Minas Trith project got canned after like 2 years of hard work. People have their own schedules in real-life that usually take precedence over online projects, so hence the problem.

i agree with t. i worked on so much mods wich got canned because people diddnt show up anymore (i cant blame them)
its really hard near to impossible to make such a huge project work.
