hey there you two admins,
i was wondering if i could set up a new photography challenge,
i was thinking of a not sober theme..
ie: trying to shoot what you would see if you where drunk or druged with no photoshoping effect what so ever...(disorted vision) (and of course, you are sober when you take the pic (or not, but that's up to you))
know what i mean?
i though it would be pretty challenging to try and achieve such effects with no editing...

couldnt you just set a slow shutter speed and move the camera?
ps: i'd definitely enter the contest if there was one.

you could, and that's what i had in mind... you could also take pics through glass for example...
and that's why i think it would be an interesting challenge, because you'd have to be creative1

first time i read this, i thought you meant you wanted to have a drunken photography challenge, such as Get drunk, then take photos haha

That sounds like a great challenge Rich! I'd defiantly be game! You could even set up a thread in the photography section, and go from there - I think it's a good idea for us to do our own mini-challenges now and again, because I imagine that the two admins are rather busy these days. Go for it!

yea i noticed it too forum feels to calm and dull without challenges, they keep us active, productive, and competitive to improve our selfs. go for it rich we want this challenge.
question cannon g7 i increase shutter but when i take image its super dam clean with no effect the display shows the shutter and how it reacts but the camera takes the thing and stabilizes it (figured it out np)
i just noticed it is not easy to capture a drunken vision (lol specially that u never been drunk ur self
).

well, i'll wait for the week end, see if they find time, if not i could indeed do it in the photography section...
iest, you just gave me an idea, how about organising duels between users... ie: model a cat in one hour, or animate a walk in 2 or texture that object in 20 minutes...
ie2: iest, i challenge you to model a car in one hour, that looks better than the one i'll model in the same amout of time...
sort of like the speed challenge, but braught down to a duel between two guys...
users vote and if you win, you get one point, if you loose nothing happends, and if you decline you get scardy cat point.
it could be a fun and undertaining way to progress, especialy if we keep the duel short, so that people can participate a lot (i bet everybody can find an hour or two)
depending on your grade, you will challenge stronger people, and if a new 3d user chalenges a pro (not saying any names there) the pro will have less time, or a more sofiticated thing to do..
... what do you guys think?
