I'm currently writing an essay in uni, and I'm trying to broaden my research to include the thoughts of people in my trade
. I'd love to hear your opinions on the topic, and if you can, point me to something you might think useful to me. My investigation is entitled:
To what extent will todays science fiction influenece the science and technology of tomorrow, and what will be the role of the maker?
By maker, I mean model maker, either physical or digital (you guys
!) How will we play a part, and what part will we play? But thats a sub topic next to investigating the media/ design crossovers we have seen in the past. Though what I'm really interested in is how the sci fi of today will influence the future of science and technoogy. Its a pretty cool essay, but there's not much information around on that type of thing, so opinions are golden
