this thread is being created because of the creative help thread, and i'd like to elaborate on it without derailing that thread anymore than it already is.
so what kind of music does everyone like?
more specifically, what do you like that most other people probably wouldn't like or something that's odd and doesn't fit the norm of what you listen to but you still enjoy for what it is.
for me, I usually listen to relaxing music, reggae or ska mainly. but recently i've been finding these niche bands that i like. i dont relaly like techno but i love freezepop, i dont really like folk but i love the O Brother Where Art Thou soundtrack. another artist i like but dont particularly listen to the genre on a normal basis is Liz Phair, her lyrics are incredibly inappropriate and i'm a fan of 'dirty' material so i find it hilarious. also, i dont really like punk that much but i really like flogging molly, not so much dropkick murphys.

For the record, neither flogging molly or dropkick murphys are really punk. Both are awesome, however.
And what the hell is freezepop? Sounds tasty.
As long as we're going for weird, abnormal stuff, we picked up a lot of random odd stuff at work from listening to streamingsoundtracks.com and 1980s.fm. Namely Prince, and anything from any Disney soundtrack. And Phil Collins. And Sting, heh.

Awesome thread Ben! we've got a very similar thread over at Animation Mentor, where each week people post some new music on it to keep us inspired etc.
