who is in LA from the 16th to the 30th?

14 May 2008looks like i am really comming now!
comming from about the 16th of june to the first of jully (i'll probably leave a day or two before that acctualy)
i was wondering who's doing what and who would be free around that time. i'll be on my own and and most likley in a hotel where ever in LA, unless you offer me a couch
...
i'd apreciate if you guys could let me know what your plans are around that time if you live in LA so that we could organise a little somthing... also, do you know if there will be any conferance during theses days regarding 3d...
i would love to visit as many people as possible from simply cg and spend as much time with them as i can, as it is the main reason why i am comming over...
i organised a few things with jay allready... and hoping to do much more!
also, could you let me know if you have time to take me where ever and make me visit places you like an all that (unless you're busy obviously)
how far is pixar from LA, can we visit? enter the site? -

14 May 2008Yo Rich! Of course, I am here in LA! Unfortunately, I will be working 7 days a week, probably 14-18 hours a day while you're here.
But don't worry, we will definitely meet up while you're here! I just won't be able to hang for a full day or anything. At the very, very least, we can grab lunch and I can show you around R&H.
If I do have some days off, you are more than welcome to crash on my couch, and we can definitely hang out on whatever days I have. I can show you around LA, but I'm not sure what might be intersting to see nowadays. Hollywood Blvd, the Sunset Strip, 3rd Street Promenade in Santa Monica... Those are fun places to see, shop, and eat.
I wish I could be a bit more definite, but I honestly think I'm going to have to play it by ear (figure it out closer to the days that you are here), since my schedule is about to be completely taken over by work.

I'll also be in LA at that time, but also working 40 hrs a week. We should all go out for dinner! It would be fun to all see Indiana Jones or whatever is coming out then. And of course we need to introduce Richard to my good friend, In-n-Out burger... I'll also look around to see if there are any SIGGRAPH events or something going on then. -
