14 May 2008Yea I saw that too...truly a visionary piece.
It's a shame he released it onto the web...it could have EASILY gained him Academy recognition imo....as they've awarded Oscars to much less innovative animation in the past (or at least, considered much less innovative animation for nomination) -
15 May 2008that was incredible! that's proof that 2d animation is far from dead in my opinion. there's still so many things you can do so much easier than 3d animation, i particularly liked the skeleton building up and the skin flowing over it to form the body, that whole thing really blew me away.
and you're right T, he definitely should've shown that around at some festivals and such to get recognized but maybe that wasn't financially viable for him or something, oh well i'm just glad that we all get to see it now
pretty nice of him to put it online for public viewing like that. -
15 May 2008Yeah this got passed around the office the other day, awesome stuff. I'm still amazed at how he was able to do all of this without getting into some trouble with police or whatever.

the amasing part is its very long for smt like this. i cant imagine how much time he has invested into it.
