I probably did something pretty stupid but i had my first interview at company here in NY (
http://www.suspect.tv). They offered me an internship for a few weeks to test me out and i took it immediately. Haha maybe i was a little bold taking it right away, but hey, i wanna work!

Seems this sort of 'get to know you' thing is pretty popular these days - we have a number of interns at our place right now. I'm kinda in two minds about it. I can see the benfits for the employer ('try before you buy') but I think it puts a lot of unecessary pressure on the applicant.
Still, with the amount of competition out there it's always good to get your foot in the door. Good luck with it and keep us posted.

Hey congrats! That's great!
I know you're super excited, but don't let them take advantage of you. A "get to know you" internship of only a couple weeks is great. Employers will sometimes try and milk that for as long as they can.

Haha... so i get home today from the city (about 30 minutes ago) and what do i find in my email box? Another interview!... this one at a really high end website company (
http://www.rga.com) that does tons of 3D.
