Kung Fu Panda
Holy crap.
ya know. I have felt kinda burned by dreamworks flicks over the past few years. The biggest offender is shrek. You get slammed with pop cultural refrences as the only jokes, ya throw in a musical number here or there, they all seem a bit re-hashed and done to death. Over the last few years with jems such as shrek 3 and that shark one i was feelin a bit down about dreamworks stuff.
Kung Fu panda took my jar of expectations i had, shook it up, and threw it against a wall. the movie was amazing. I was so into everything that the movie had to offer. from the 2d animated intro that set up a lot of the main character (which is one of the better movie intros i have seen) all the way through the non pop culture at all funny as hell action movie to the end. it was great.
beautiful looking, animation second to none, and genuine laugh my ass off moments that i havnt enjoyed in a theater in a while. i lost it a few times. crazy giggle fests. its just a joy anda fun fun fun movie to go to.
the flick is beautiful and very fun. check it out

i 100% agree, saw it last night and was stunned at how solid the overall story arc felt, at least compared to previous dreamworks films. and there was no tacked-on love story or wonky pop culture references!
GO SEE IT. jack black does a great job voice acting. only saw one animation flaw in the whole thing, but hey that's pretty acceptable.

I cannot wait to see this movie! Some of my friends said it is even better than Incredibles (which is one of my fave animated films, second only to Monster's Inc). And I've always thought Jack Black was funny. SKADOOOOSH!

Saw it yesterday...heartwarming, beautiful, enchanting....what more can I say. Best Dreamworks film by far...possibly one of the best 3d animated films ever made. It's the complete package.
It'll get robbed if it doesn't win Best Animated Film...Pixar's Wall*E will have to be absolutely incredible to beat it.

I wont going to cinema to see this movie. For the sole reason that the entire movie is translated into Estonian language (for the kids who dont understand english) I dont want to see a movie if there is no original voice acting. So i have to wait for DVD version

^ that should be a crime. I grew up with english movies/tv in a non-english speaking country. It helps force people to learn english, which is a good thing.
