The Pixar Touch

14 Jun 2008So for my birthday my mom bought me this book called The Pixar Touch. It just came out and is supposedly a best seller now. The book tells the story of the beginning of CG starting with ed catmull and continues on to the formation of Pixar, and of course it's relationship with Disney. The story is amazing, the people are real, and their passion is a joy to read. I've been obsessively reading it on my train ride every day (i look forward to my commute). I definitely recommend this book to EVERYONE on this forum and anyone even remotely interested in computer graphics / animation / pixar.
I'm about half way through and they're in the middle of making toy story 2 (which was originally suppose to be straight to VHS!).
GO GET THIS BOOK. I never EVER read but this book is a pure treat. -

15 Jun 2008oh man, me and my friend have been obsessing over pixar. definitely getting this. i got this movie called the pixar story which is an hour and a half documentary about the inception of pixar and how they came about. think you might be able to find it on a couple torrent sites wink wink.
edit: just ordered the book, looking forward to reading it
