Who's seen it yet? was it everything you expected? personally I loved it, another masterpiece courtesy of Pixar.

I just got back from it. Also loved it, i feel like a zombie saying this but they out did themselves again. this was a movie of movies, and i swear if it's not up there for best movie of the year then hollywood is just a bunch crack heads. definitely seeing it again soon.
i've never really been a fanboy of anything, but there's a little pixar fanboy brewing inside of me, and wall-e is just instigating it lol.
and finally, throughout the film i felt an overwhelming jealousy towards the simplicity of a robot relationship ......

now that I think about it more, my favorite part of Wall-E might be the short before the movie. Presto was really entertaining, Doug Sweetland did a great job

and that bunny was adorable!

Saw it twice over the weekend. I love the fact that there's virtually no dialogue through the first half of the movie, relying on just the animation itself to tell the story. I think any other studio would be hard pressed to pull something like that off with the level of success Pixar has in this movie. I can't get over how great EVE's expressions were.

Was lucky enough to go to the premiere at Leicester Square on Sunday (I've just come back from a trip to the UK btw!) Was blown away by it, looks fantastic. The environmental message was very 'in your face', which is cool but maybe a little too bleak for the kiddie audience. Will probably go and see it again here in Thailand. Presto was amazing too - really captured the essence of classic 2D looney toons style. One thing that didn't sit right with me was the use of live action elements (not just because it was real, but it was really hammy too!... a bad call IMHO)

Good God. It's so hard to have faith in humanity, at any level whatsoever, when there are so many simpletons ready to cry foul over an imagined slight. Things like this are why the business suits in the animation industry are so crippled and paranoid about every indistinct, arbitrary detail that they perceive as a possible issue, until they water it down and remove everything that makes it entertaining and identifiable. That's pretty much what nearly killed Disney, until Pixar came along and took 'em back to school. God knows the classic golden age Looney Tunes would never fly in today's world, yet everyone loves those characters and probably has a favorite picked out.

I saw presto, yet to see wall-e...though I am kinda nervous to see it with such great feedback and be let down. That kinda happen with TMNT the CG movie. what happen to the beloved turtles of the 80's and 90's .... i still know my favorite line in the start.
"Clang....did you say clang?!"
when they drop down to battle the technodrome for the first time and find out the foot are robots....i mean todays turtles have nothign to do with krang or shedder...oh no...im turning into a cranky old man....

when its something that can be seen as a liberal message, the hard core conservatives will bitch.

99 percent of the time everyone that is not on the fringe edges of the political spectrum wont give a damn.
lets keep politics out of this, hmm?
