What kind of promotion is OK?

I'm going to be launching a 3D-based website in a couple of weeks, and I'll be looking for some folks to join our closed beta. I was wondering if this kind of "promotion" was ok on simplyCG? The site is going to be of very obvious interest to 3D artists, so I would think it would be acceptable, but since I'm new to these forums, I thought I would ask first. Thanks!
