As mentioned in a previous thread i recently got a job working full time at a visual effects place in NYC. >
http://www.suspect.tvI've been working primarily on an internal project but every now and then they need something re-rendered or modeled for something different. I've been doing everything from modeling, texturing, lighting, rigging, animation, and pre-vis. It's a total blast doing what i love, and actually getting paid for it. Also I'm learning so many new things every day that you just can't get at a school. Production experience really is a special thing.
Here we use mostly Maya, but XSI is on all the machines as well (thank god). After this little project they want me to learn Massive, and I'm totally looking forward to that. For those of you who don't know, massive is software used for large crowd generation.
And I'm also doing very slight web on the side, most of it being flash based.
The pay is decent, but for just graduating 6 weeks ago, I honestly can't complain.
MOVE TO NEW YORK!
