For those of you that didn't make it (Um, everyone I imagine) here is a link to the Thailand Animation and Multimedia festival 2006, held at the Queen Sirikit Center in Bangkok.
Certainly looks like the industry is growing here, it's the 3rd Festival and it gets bigger every year (It's hard to believe I've been to every one!) I was fortunate enough to sit in on some of the seminars there - One was from Massive and was pretty darn cool. There have been quite a few developments since LOTR like dynamics and better agent interaction (quite excited as we may well be buying a Massive licence for the project I'm working on!!

)
Many other cool exhibits and stuff (one example is a 3D printer... yep, it's a machine that uses acrylic allowing you to 'print' your 3D models! Pretty slow though, about 5mm an hour, but pretty cool though)
Oh and one other very good thing about TAM is the host of stunningly attractive girls employed to stand around looking pretty for no reason other than that they look pretty! Me... shallow?... well, at times... yes
