Hi folks!
I'm in vacation, and in the next few days, I want to make a tutorial about "how to create a website using imageready".
As I'm not a 100% good english speaker, and I'll have to switch from imageready to photoshop, desktop, explorer, etc. I want to make divide the tutorial in 6-7 parts, make the individualy, record voices and make the whole video with premiere, with some black screen with "Part 1: Photoshop" by example written to separate part.
Anyway, I only want to know, do yo think I should record it in 1024X768 or if in 800X600 will be enough?
thx andI hope you'll like it when it'll be finished, I've never see tutorials like that on internet, so I think it could be interesting to make one.

Smaller filesize the better...so it's a vote for 800x600 from me

if the button labels etc. are still readable at 800x600FS then i say go for it,
but personally i prefer 1024x768 so i can see it in fullscreen, with the use of good codecs it shouldn't be to big either

camtasia has a codec that very effiecently copes with screen capture, 1024 would be fine. but not many people have this codec which makes it awkward, and converting to anouther codec often means larger sizes or much lower quality.
i think 800 x 600 would be ok, maybe record at 1024, and downsize in premiere as then u can always zoom in for close ups

by the by, ive been using macromedia's Breeze lately to create interactive tutorials and learning applications, its really easy to develop for and very flexible in terms of stonring extra info i.e. subtitles, extra hints, etc. and you can just exploit is as a flash or executable file!

ant-: yes I think it's exactly what I'll do. So I'll have at least a 1024x768 version even if I put online a 800X600.
I will start soon to record it. since the beginning of the week, I try to let my computer off as it's really awesomely hot here in Canada (yes we can have 40celcius here too, too hot to do something inside in front of a computer)
will keep you in touch!

When I create websites I aim for it to be best viewed at 800x600. So, creating the video tutorial at that resolution might be an added advantage.

Everything is supposed to be recorded. it'll be a 15min tutorial, I'll add voices too. I tried to explain the most about imageready, This program is really fast to learn.
In short, I explained:
-Slice tool (to divide the website for the buttons, etc.)
-Links and rollover
-Animations
-Optimize the bitmaps
-and how to export it in html.
You can see the example website I'll make in the video.
